From One Jar to a Family Legacy
BCBK began in 2015—not in a laboratory or boardroom, but in a mother’s kitchen.
When my little boy developed very dry, eczema-prone skin, I became the mom who questioned everything. I read labels, researched ingredients, and kept searching for gentler topical care.
A friend once gave me a plaque that read, “A worried mom does better research than the FBI.”
That was me.
My first herbal balm came together in 2015, and what began as one jar for my family became BCBK.
Motherhood Changed My Path
Before becoming a mom, I imagined a future in pharmaceutical studies. Motherhood changed the questions I was asking and gradually led me toward a more holistic lifestyle—paying closer attention to food, movement, yoga, our home environment, daily habits, and the ingredients we use on our skin.
In 2018, one of my homeopathy instructors introduced me to tallow. My first thought was probably the same as many people’s: “Put tallow on my skin?”
Curiosity led to research, research led to formulation, and tallow eventually became an important part of the BCBK collection.
I have completed coursework in basic homeopathy and am currently pursuing certification in Holistic Skincare Formulation as I continue expanding my knowledge and refining my craft.

I believe skin care is one piece of a much bigger picture. Nourishing food, movement, rest, lifestyle, professional care, and the products we choose all have their place.
BCBK focuses on thoughtfully formulated topical skin care for everyday use.
Our products are made in small batches with carefully selected ingredients, including botanical oils, butters, and herbs chosen with purpose. Where appropriate to the formula, I select organic and cold-pressed oils and raw, unrefined butters, and some botanicals are slowly infused into oils in small batches.
For me, skin care does not need to be complicated.
Know what you’re using. Know why it’s there. Use what your skin actually needs.
Still Personal, Always
Over the years, BCBK has grown beyond that first jar, but it remains deeply personal. Many products have been inspired by my family, conversations with customers, and simple everyday needs.
I am still closely involved in formulation, production, product education, and customer conversations.
Because before I offer a product to you, I ask myself one simple question:
Would I feel comfortable bringing this into my own home?
